After a 1:1 meeting ends, Kona delivers a post-meeting summary to the manager and direct report. This article resolves the symptom where that summary never arrives.
Diagnose
Work through each check in order.
Check 1: Meeting platform delivery channel → How to check: Confirm whether your organization uses Zoom + Slack, Teams + Outlook, or Google Meet. → If Teams: Summaries are sent by email only — Teams chat is not supported. → If Zoom or Google Meet: Check both email inbox and Slack direct messages.
Check 2: Email spam or junk folder → How to check: Open your spam, junk, or filtered mail folder and search for "Kona" or "bot@15five.com". → If found: Move the message to your inbox and allowlist the sender. → If not found: Continue to Check 3.
Check 3: Slack notifications disabled or missing connection → How to check: In Slack, open Direct Messages and look for the Kona bot. Check that Slack notifications are enabled in your device and app settings. → If Kona DM is absent: Your Slack account may not be connected. Contact your 15Five admin to verify the Slack integration is active. → If Slack notifications are muted: Re-enable notifications for the Kona bot.
Check 4: Kona did not successfully join the meeting → How to check: Recall whether "Kona" appeared as a participant during the meeting. → If Kona was absent: No summary is generated when Kona does not join. See Kona did not join my meeting (linked below). → If Kona was present: Continue to Check 5.
Check 5: Meeting invitation setup → How to check: Open the calendar event and confirm bot@15five.com was included as an invitee and a video conferencing link (Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet) was present. → If either is missing: The meeting will not trigger a summary. Add both to future invites.
Fix
For email delivery issues
- Open your email spam or junk folder.
- Search for messages from bot@15five.com.
- Mark the message as not spam.
- Add bot@15five.com to your email allowlist or safe senders list.
For Slack delivery issues
- Open Slack and search for a direct message from Kona.
- Check that Slack notifications are turned on for direct messages.
- If the Kona bot does not appear, contact your 15Five admin.
For missing bot invite or conferencing link
- Open the calendar event for the meeting.
- Add bot@15five.com as an invitee.
- Confirm a Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet link is included.
- Save the event — Kona will join the rescheduled or next occurrence automatically.
What Resolution Looks Like
- Email: A message from Kona containing meeting notes, action items, and (for managers) coaching tips appears in your inbox.
- Slack: A direct message from the Kona bot appears with the same content.
- Both arrive within minutes of the meeting ending.
If It Still Fails
Contact your company's 15Five admin or reach out to the 15Five Support Team. Provide the following:
- Date and time of the meeting
- Meeting platform used (Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet)
- Whether Kona appeared as a participant during the meeting
- Whether bot@15five.com was on the calendar invite
