Accurate employee data ensures the right people receive your survey and that results segment correctly. Complete these checks before building or launching an engagement campaign.
Before You Begin
- You must have Account Admin or HR Admin permissions.
- Your 15Five account must include the Engage, Perform, or Total Platform package.
Steps
- Navigate to People and review the active user list.
- Confirm every employee who should receive the survey appears as active.
- Add any missing employees. (See for instructions.)
- Navigate to Settings and open Administrative Roles.
- Assign admin roles to each team member responsible for campaign tasks.
- Navigate to People > Groups and open each group type.
- Verify group types, groups, and attributes match your intended segmentation structure.
- Create any missing group types, groups, or attributes before continuing.
> Note: The Core Attributes section shows coverage percentage for key fields such as job title, hire date, and demographics. Fields below 75% coverage are flagged as risks. Select any flagged field to view a filtered employee list and fix gaps directly in 15Five or through your HRIS.
- Navigate to each employee record and confirm the correct group, attribute, and manager assignments.
- Apply bulk corrections using an HRIS sync, a CSV import, or individual account edits.
> Note: Connecting an HRIS via the HRIS Connector is the most reliable way to keep employee data current. See for setup instructions.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Employee does not receive the survey | Verify the employee is active in People | Reactivate the account or add the employee before the campaign start date |
| Results cannot be filtered by a group | Confirm the group type exists and employees are assigned to it | Create the missing group type and bulk-assign employees via CSV import |
| Core Attributes coverage shows below 75% | Open the flagged attribute in Core Attributes to see which employees are missing data | Update values directly in 15Five or push corrected data from your HRIS |
| Admin cannot access campaign settings | Confirm the admin role is assigned in Settings > Administrative Roles | Assign the correct role and ask the user to log out and back in |
