Create an engagement campaign

This article explains how to create an engagement campaign in 15Five. When complete, your campaign will appear on the Campaigns Dashboard with a confirmed status and a scheduled start date.

Before You Begin

Steps

  1. Go to Surveys > Engagement in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Click Create campaign in the top-right corner of the Campaigns Dashboard.
  3. Click Add Survey to add each survey you want to include.

> Note: For full reporting capabilities, use the Total Engagement with Predictive Impact survey. See Engagement Survey Types in 15Five for available options.

  1. Click Preview Surveys to review the participant experience and estimated completion time.
  2. Enter a name for your campaign in the campaign name field.

> Note: This name is visible to anyone with access to results.

  1. Select your participant scope: Entire company or a specific group.
  2. Click Exclude by hire date or name to optionally exclude individuals.

> Note: Newly added employees who meet your participant filters are included automatically if they are active in 15Five. Invited employees who have not accepted their invitation require additional steps. See Make an Invited User Eligible for Engagement Survey Participation.

  1. Click View participants to verify the full participant list in the side drawer.
  2. Select a feedback filter to control how open-ended responses are segmented in results.

> The feedback filter determines which single group type (e.g., department, location, or manager) can be used to filter written responses.

  1. Select a results release option:

- Release automatically — Results are shared with all users who have visibility as soon as the campaign ends and data is processed (within 2 hours of campaign close). - Controlled release — Only HR Admins are notified when results are ready. Admins then manually select which individuals receive access and when. See Assign results visibility for engagement campaigns.

  1. Select the campaign Start date.
  2. Select the campaign End date.

> Note: You can adjust the end date at any time while the campaign is active. See Change the End Date of an Active Engagement Campaign.

  1. Set campaign recurrence frequency, or turn recurrence off.

> Note: If you do not want the campaign to repeat after it ends, you must delete the next auto-generated campaign after the current one closes. See [Stop a recurring engagement campaign].

  1. Select the notification type: Email, SMS, Slack, or a combination.
  2. Adjust the timing of any pre-scheduled notification using the date fields.
  3. Click Add notification to add extra notifications beyond the default schedule.
  4. Click the trashcan icon next to any notification to remove it.

> Only participants who have not yet responded receive reminder notifications.

  1. Click Send test notification to verify delivery of your notification messages.
  2. Click Confirm campaign.
  3. Click Confirm campaign again in the confirmation pop-up to finalize.

What Success Looks Like
