Create a Leadership group, add executives, and enable Group viewing and Group drill-down so leaders can see each other's Check-ins and drill into their teams.
Before You Begin
- You must have Admin access in 15Five.
- All executives you want to include must already exist as users in your account.
- Identify which leaders need cross-team visibility before creating the group.
Steps
- Go to Settings > People > Manage Groups.
- Click Create new group type.
- Enter a name for the group type (for example, Leadership).
- Click Save to create the group type.
- Open the new group type.
- Click Add members.
- Search for and select each executive to include in the group.
- Click Save to confirm the member list.
- Locate the Group viewing toggle for the group.
- Enable Group viewing.
- Locate the Group drill-down toggle for the group.
- Enable Group drill-down.
- Click Save to apply both settings.
What Success Looks Like
Each executive in the Leadership group can view every other group member's submitted Check-ins. Group drill-down allows each executive to see Check-ins for people below any other executive in the manager hierarchy, providing cross-team visibility.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| An executive cannot see another group member's Check-ins | Confirm both executives are in the same group | Open the group in Manage Groups and verify both names appear in the member list |
| Group viewing or Group drill-down toggles are not visible | Confirm you are viewing the correct group type | Navigate back to Manage Groups, select the group type, and look for the toggles on the group's settings page |
| An executive can see peer Check-ins but not their peer's direct reports | Confirm Group drill-down is enabled, not just Group viewing | Return to the group settings and enable Group drill-down |
