Write a peer review as a review cycle participant (peer-initiated cycle)

This article covers how to select peers and submit peer reviews when you are a participant in a peer-initiated review cycle. When complete, your reviews appear as submitted in the Manage peers tab.

Note: Your organization may have renamed this feature. If you don't see "Reviews" in your navigation, check with your admin for the name used in your account.

Before You Begin

Steps

  1. Go to Reviews in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Click the name of the review cycle you want to write a peer review for.
  3. Click the Manage peers tab at the top of the page.
  4. Select the participant(s) you want to write a peer review for, then click Select peers.

> Note: If the cycle includes manager or upward reviews, your direct manager and direct reports will not appear in the selection list.

  1. Click Save to confirm your peer selections.
  2. To remove a peer before submitting, click ... to the right of their name and select Remove.
  3. Click ... to the right of a peer's name and select View to open their review.

> Alternatively, click Write reviews at the top of the review cycle page, then click the person's name from the list.

  1. Complete all review answers.
  2. Click Submit.

What you will see when complete: The peer's row in the Manage peers tab shows a submitted status. The review is not visible to the peer until their manager shares results.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
A colleague does not appear in the peer selection list Confirm the cycle includes peer reviews and that the person is a cycle participant. Check whether they are your direct manager or direct report. Manager and direct report relationships are excluded from peer selection by cycle design. Contact your review admin if the exclusion appears incorrect.
Manage peers tab is not visible Confirm the cycle is in the peer selection phase and has not passed the peer nomination deadline. Contact your review admin to confirm whether the peer selection window is still open. See [What are the participant selection options in a peer review cycle?]
Submit button is not available Confirm all required questions have answers. Scroll through the review for any unanswered required fields. Complete all required fields, then click Submit.
Submitted status does not appear after clicking Submit Refresh the page and return to Manage peers. If the status remains blank, contact Contact the 15Five Support Team.
