Once your AI tool is connected to 15Five, you can ask it about your 15Five data in plain language. This article gives a starting set of prompts and multi-step workflows, grouped by 15Five area.
Feature Structure
Replace anything in braces, such as {name}, with your own values. Prompts marked "(update)" change 15Five and work only when your company has turned on updates.
Reviews
- "What review cycles are running right now, and how are they tracking?"
- "Break down completion by department, and tell me which teams are lagging."
- "Who specifically still owes a review in {department}, and how overdue are they?"
- "Is it managers or self-reviews holding up the {cycle name} cycle?"
- "How does participation in our current cycle compare to the last two closed cycles?"
Objectives
- "Who on my team doesn't have any objectives set?"
- "How are our objectives tracking overall? Break it down by department."
- "Which of my direct reports' objectives are behind or at risk, and what's the story on the worst one?"
- "Which objectives are overdue, and which active ones haven't made any progress?"
- "Show me {objective name}: the key results, who owns them, and what rolls up into it."
- "List every company-wide objective with its owner, status and progress. I need to audit them."
- "What did we complete last quarter?"
- "How much of what my reports owned last quarter actually got finished?"
- "Which of my team's objectives have gone quiet?"
- "Who only updates their objectives at the end of the cycle?"
- "Which objectives were on track and slipped?"
- "Who's actually on the hook for the most key results across the company?"
- "What key results is {name} responsible for?"
Check-ins
- "Which of my direct reports have submitted their check-in for this period, and who hasn't?"
- "Help me prep for my 1-on-1 with {name}."
- "Did anyone on my team report a lower pulse than usual this period?"
- "Which of my reports' priorities were carried over and still not completed?"
- "What challenges is my team raising over the last 6 weeks, and is there a pattern?"
- "Has {name} been keeping up with their check-ins?"
- "How is my team keeping up with check-ins this quarter?"
- "Which departments are behind on check-ins this month?"
- "Which of my managers aren't reviewing their team's check-ins?"
- "How are check-ins set up for my company?"
- "How is my team's pulse trending this quarter?"
- "Which departments have the lowest pulse right now?"
- "How well is my team following through on the priorities they set in check-ins?"
- "Show me the priorities my team is carrying into next period."
- "How did everyone answer '{question}' last month?"
1-on-1s
Only your own 1-on-1s are read. The other participant's private notes and items are never returned. Your own private items come back labeled private, so a recap can leave them out.
- "Who do I have 1-on-1s with, and when did we last meet?"
- "When's my next 1-on-1 with each of my reports, and how often do we meet?"
- "What's on the agenda for my next 1-on-1 with {name}?"
- "What's still open from my last 1-on-1 with {name}?"
- "How consistently is my team having 1-on-1s this quarter?"
- "Which departments are having the fewest 1-on-1s?"
- "Draft a recap of my last 1-on-1 with {name} that I can send them."
- "What did Meeting Assistant capture in my last 1-on-1 with {name}?"
- "What did Meeting Assistant suggest I follow up on from that meeting?"
- (update) "Add '{topic}' to my next 1-on-1 with {name}."
- (update) "Add an action item to my next 1-on-1 with {name}: {follow-up}."
- (update) "Mark {name}'s {item} as done on our next 1-on-1."
- (update) "Push my 1-on-1 with {name} to {date}."
- (update) "Schedule my 1-on-1 with {name} for today, then end it."
Ending a 1-on-1 cannot be undone, and 15Five emails both people the summary.
High Fives
High Fives are read for the people whose check-ins you can see. A private High Five shows only to the person who gave it and the person it was for.
- "Who on my team has been recognized this month, and for what?"
- "Have I already given {name} a High Five this month?"
- (update) "Give {name} a High Five for {what they did}. Tag {company value}."
A High Five given this way is posted publicly, and the recipient is notified. To check who received it and which value was tagged, ask "Show me the High Fives I gave today."
Multi-step workflows
These jobs string several questions together.
- Monthly OKR adoption report: who owns each objective, then status by team, then a short summary for people who never log in.
- 1-on-1 prep: the person's recent check-ins, priorities and what carried over, and their objectives and status. Then the next 1-on-1's agenda and what is still open from the last one. With updates on, finish by adding a talking point to the 1-on-1.
- Review cycle audit: how far along the cycle is, then a split by team, then the reviews behind the number.
- Team risk scan: objectives behind or at risk, checked against pulse and the challenges people raised in the same weeks.
Key Rules
- Answers depend on who asks. Each person sees only what their 15Five permissions allow, so two people can get different answers.
- Every answer links back to the 15Five records behind it, so you can check them before acting.
- Answers use your company's own names for objectives and key results.
- Data is always live. There is no general date limit. A 1-on-1 content read covers up to 10 meetings per request, and the objectives progress report looks back 90 days.
- These prompts are a starting set, tested on 15Five demo data. Prompts written on your own data can work better.
- Prompts marked "(update)" work only when your company has turned on updates for 15Five MCP.
- An AI tool answering in another language is that AI tool's own behavior. It is not a 15Five feature.
