Access and Filter the Private Manager Assessment Results Report

Review admins, cycle collaborators, and managers use the Private Manager Assessment (PMA) Results report to view how managers assessed direct reports across a review cycle. Completing the steps below opens the report and applies filters so you can analyze results for specific employee cohorts.

Note: Your organization may have renamed this feature. If you don't see "Best-Self Review®" in your navigation, check with your admin for the name used in your account.

Before You Begin

  • You must have access to Best-Self Review® Reporting. This feature is available on the Perform and Total Platform pricing packages.
  • Review admins and cycle collaborators can view PMA results for all participants. Managers can view PMA results for their direct reports only.
  • If hierarchy visibility is enabled in Best-Self Review® feature settings, skip-level managers can also access PMA results for employees in their reporting hierarchy.

Steps

  1. Go to Reviews in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Click the relevant review cycle.
  3. Click Company's Results (review admins and cycle collaborators) or Team's Results (managers).
  4. Scroll down to the Private Manager Assessment Results section on the Summary tab.
  5. Click the People filter to narrow results by direct reports, your hierarchy, specific individuals, groups, or manager groups.
  6. Click the Demographics & People Data filter to narrow results by demographic attribute — Age, Ethnicity, Gender, Race, or Salary.
  7. Click the Compare By Attribute dropdown to view results side-by-side by demographic segment.
  8. Hover over any answer section in the distribution chart to see how many participants received that response.
  9. To drill into a specific question, click ... to the right of the question and select View all answers.
Note: PMA reporting updates in real time as manager reviews are submitted or edited. See for guidance on report timing.
Note: To save your People and Demographics filters for reuse, click Presets > Save Current as Preset. Review admins can share presets with other admins to standardize reporting across cycles. See Create a saved filter preset in a performance review cycle for instructions.

What Success Looks Like
