View Check-in metric trends over time (Trends Dashboard)

Use the Trends Dashboard to view response data for quantitative Check-in questions (yes/no, numerical, and rating scale) over time. When complete, you will see a trend chart, answer distribution, and individual answers for any selected question, with an option to download results as CSV or XLSX.

> Note: Text questions do not appear in Trends reporting. One-time metric questions (Polls) are reported on separately. See Access the Check-ins Questions Dashboard for Polls reporting.

Before You Begin

  • You must have access to Check-ins Reporting.
  • Account Admins see metric data for everyone in the organization. Managers see data for people in their reporting hierarchy only.
  • This feature is available on the Perform, Legacy Focus, and Total Platform pricing packages.

Steps

  1. Click Outcomes Dashboard or Dashboard in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Click the Platform Reports tab.
  3. Click Explore in the Trends box.
  4. Use the filters to select your desired criteria:

- Group — limits results to a specific group within the organization - Active trends — shows questions currently being asked in a live Check-in - All trends — shows every metric question ever asked in the organization - Sort by — sorts results by oldest question, newest question, or alphabetically

  1. Click the question you want to view.

- The detail view shows the average answer trend, an answer distribution chart for a specific week, and individual answers for that question.

  1. Click Download Answers to export results.
  2. Select the fields to include in your export.
  3. Click Download CSV.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
A question does not appear in the Trends Dashboard Confirm the question is quantitative (yes/no, numerical, or rating scale) Text questions are excluded from Trends reporting — use the Questions Dashboard instead
No data appears after applying a group filter Confirm the selected group has had Check-in questions answered Remove the group filter and check whether data appears at the organization level
Download Answers button is not visible Confirm you have clicked into an individual question's detail view Navigate back to the question list and click the specific question first
Manager cannot see data for a direct report Confirm the direct report is within the manager's reporting hierarchy Contact your Account Admin to verify hierarchy configuration
