Use the Check-ins Answers Report

The Answers report shows all text responses submitted to Check-in questions. Use it to read, react to, and export individual answers across your organization.

Before You Begin

  • You need access to Check-in Reporting.
  • The Answers report only contains data for text questions. Yes/No, Numerical, and Rating-scale questions appear in the Trends or Polls dashboards instead.
  • Admins see data for all employees whose Check-ins they have permission to view. Managers see data only for their own reportable individuals.

Steps

  1. Click Dashboard or Outcomes Dashboard in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Click the Platform Reports tab.
  3. Click Explore in the Check-ins box.
  4. Click Questions in the top navigation.
  5. Scroll down to the answers table and graph section.
  6. Click See answers to questions below the graph.
  7. Set the Who answered this question? filter to the individuals or groups you want to view.
  8. Set the Check-in frequency filter to Weekly, Every other week, or Monthly if needed.
  9. Set the Time frame filter to a preset range or enter a custom date range.
  10. Set the Required type filter to narrow by required or optional questions.
  11. Set the Question status filter to narrow by active or inactive questions.
  12. Click the Sort by menu (top right) and select Recently answered, Question text, Most/Least # of answers, or Highest/Lowest answer rate.
  13. Click View answers to the right of any question to see all responses.
  14. Click an individual answer to open the Answer details drawer.
  15. In the drawer, click the like icon or add a comment to engage with the answer.
  16. Click ... to the right of an answer to add it to a 1-on-1 agenda or pass it up.
  17. Click Download answers to export the report.
  18. Select CSV or XLSX as the file format.

The downloaded file contains these fields: Name, Manager, Date submitted, Date submitted (ISO), Question, Answer, # of likes, # of comments, Private answer (true/false).

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
A question is missing from the report Verify the question type Only text questions appear here; check Trends or Polls for metric question types

Download button produces an empty file Confirm filters return visible results before downloading Clear one filter at a time until results appear, then re-download
