Admins and managers use the Submitted Check-ins report to view Check-in submission rates across their organization or team, apply filters to segment the data, contact individuals, and download results. When complete, the report displays a filtered table of submission metrics for the selected people and time frame.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to Check-ins and Reporting in 15Five.
- Account admins see submission data for all employees. Managers see submission data for their direct report hierarchy only.
- Available on Perform, Legacy Focus, and Total Platform pricing packages.
Steps
- Click Insights Dashboard or Reports in the left-hand navigation.
> Note: The label shown depends on your pricing plan and access level.
- Click the Reports tab in the top navigation.
- Click Explore in the Check-ins section.
- Click Submitted Check-ins in the top navigation.
- Apply the People filter to select the employees to include:
- By your org — your direct reports and hierarchy - By individuals — all employees across the organization - By direct reports — a specific manager's direct reports - By hierarchy — all employees reporting up to a specific person - By group — all employees within a specific group, organized by group type
- Apply the Check-in frequency filter to limit results to one cadence: Weekly, Every other week, or Monthly.
- Apply the Time frame filter to set the date range: Last month, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last 12 months, or a custom date range.
- Check Include active Check-in data to include Check-ins with future due dates in the results.
- Use the View by filter in the upper-right corner to segment data by individuals or group types.
- Click any row to open the detail drawer on the right side of the screen.
> The drawer displays which Check-ins were submitted and reviewed. Hover over any icon for additional context such as skipped dates or partial submissions.
- To contact an employee from the drawer, scroll to the bottom, select Reporter or Manager, enter your message, and click Send email.
- To contact employees from the report table, check the box to the left of each name.
- Click Contact at the top of the table.
- Type your message.
- Click Send.
- To download the report, click Download in the top-right corner.
- Select CSV or XLSX.
What Success Looks Like
The report table populates with rows for each selected employee or group, showing submission metrics for the selected time frame and filters. After sending an email, no confirmation modal persists — the drawer or contact form closes, indicating the message was sent.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Insights Dashboard or Reports does not appear in navigation | Confirm your pricing plan includes Check-in reporting access | Contact your 15Five admin to verify plan and access level |
| Report shows no data after applying filters | Verify the selected time frame overlaps with active Check-in periods | Widen the time frame or select a broader People filter segment |
| Contact button does not appear after selecting names | Confirm at least one checkbox in the name column is selected | Click the checkbox directly to the left of the employee name and wait for the button to appear |
| Include active Check-in data checkbox is not visible | Confirm you are on the Submitted Check-ins tab, not another report tab | Click Submitted Check-ins in the top navigation to return to the correct report |
