Create a Question Queue for Check-ins

Admins and managers use this article to create a new Question Queue that rotates Check-in questions automatically for their company, a group, or an individual. When complete, the queue appears in the Question Queue section of the target scope's settings page.

Before You Begin

  • You must have access to Check-ins and the Manage questions page.
  • Account admins can create queues for the entire organization, a group, or an individual. Group admins can create queues for their group. Managers can create queues for people in their hierarchy.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > Features Overview.
  2. Locate Question Queue and click Configure.
  3. Click the tab for the scope of your queue: Company-wide, Groups, or Individuals.
  4. If you selected Groups or Individuals, click the name of the specific group or individual.
  5. Scroll to the Question Queue section and click Create a new question queue.
  6. Confirm the scope shown matches your intent: Company-wide, Group, or Person.
  7. Select how to add questions to your queue:

- Use the 15Five Queue — 11 recommended questions are added automatically. Click Ask all to include all, or click Ask next to individual questions to select them. - From the Question Bank — browse 15Five's curated question bank. Use Filter by tag or the search bar to find questions, then click Add to include them. - Create your own queue — the question creation form appears. See Create a Check-in question for instructions.

  1. Click Review Queue to preview the questions and their order.
  2. Click Save.
Note: Add 12 or more questions to ensure a new question appears each week of a standard quarter. Fewer questions will cause the queue to cycle through before the quarter ends.

If Something Goes Wrong
