Kona Reporting in the HR Outcomes Dashboard — Feature Overview

The HR Outcomes Dashboard includes two Kona-powered reports that give HR Admins a data-driven view of manager behavior and coaching effectiveness across the organization.

Note: Your organization requires access to both Kona and the HR Outcomes Dashboard to use these reports. Kona is available as an add-on for companies on the Perform or Total Platform pricing packages.

Feature Structure

Report Structure

The Manager Effectiveness tab in the HR Outcomes Dashboard contains three reports:

  • Manager Summary Report — Identifies which managers have the highest need for support, based on combined signals from engagement results, MEI scores, performance designations, and recent enablement activity.
  • AI Coach Insights Report (also called the Behaviors Report) — Shows how effectively managers are demonstrating key leadership behaviors in 1-on-1 meetings, based on Kona's AI analysis of meeting data.
  • ME Indicator Report — Analyzes how managers demonstrate core competencies based on Manager Effectiveness Assessment data. This report is not covered here. See Manager Effectiveness Assessment — What It Is and How It Works.

Manager Summary Report

Filters

Filter What it does
Groups Narrows results to individual manager teams, manager hierarchies, or custom group types (e.g., departments, locations).
Attributes Filters by demographic attributes (if enabled), default attributes (Job Title, Location, Hire Date), or custom attributes. Account Admins control which attributes are available at People > Attributes.
Show Managers Filters the Manager Table by a specific need: High Urgency, Low Performing People, Low Engagement Teams, Low MEI Scores, or Large Teams.
Time Period Limits data to the last 6, 9, or 12 months.
Note: The Manager Effectiveness Indicator (MEI) reflects how effectively a manager demonstrates key leadership competencies, drawn from Manager Effectiveness Review Cycles and Engagement Surveys. See Manager Effectiveness Assessment — What It Is and How It Works.

Manager Table

The Manager Table provides a prioritized list of managers and includes the following columns:

  • Manager — Name, role, and avatar.
  • Urgency — High, Medium, or Low rating based on AI-driven analysis of support need.
  • AI Summary — A brief description of the coaching or development opportunity identified for that manager.
  • Last Actions — The most recent manager effectiveness activity completed (e.g., course completion, group coaching session attendance).

Manager Details Panel

Click the arrow to the right of a manager's name to open their details panel. The panel may include:

  • Performance — The manager's performance designation (top, mid, or low) and the count of top and low performers on their team, based on performance review data.
  • Engagement — The lowest-scoring engagement driver for the manager's team from the most recent engagement campaign.
  • Team — Team size insights that may affect manager effectiveness.
  • Actions — Flags if the manager has not recently completed enablement activities.
  • MEI Competencies — The manager's current scores across manager effectiveness competencies used to calculate MEI.

  • Kona is an add-on feature available on the Perform or Total Platform pricing packages.
  • The AI Coach Insights Report draws exclusively from Kona's analysis of 1-on-1 meeting data — it does not reflect data from engagement surveys or review cycles.
  • The Manager Summary Report combines engagement, MEI, performance designation, and enablement activity signals — no single data point determines urgency.
  • Demographic attribute filters are only available if an Account Admin has enabled them at People > Attributes.
