Search and sort objectives on the All Objectives page

> Note: Your organization may have renamed this feature. If you don't see Objectives in your navigation, check with your admin for the name used in your account.

Use the All Objectives page to find objectives and key results by keyword, and to change the order in which objectives are displayed. This article requires access to Objectives. It applies to all roles on the Perform, Legacy Focus, and Total Platform packages.

Search for a keyword in objectives and key results

  1. Go to Objectives in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Set your filters at the top of the All Objectives page.

- See Understand the All Objectives page for filter options.

  1. Click the search bar.
  2. Type the keyword you want to find (for example, sales).
  3. Press Enter.

Matching objectives expand to show any key results that contain the keyword. The keyword appears highlighted in all matching titles.

Note: The search returns only objectives that match the filters currently applied at the top of the page.

Sort objectives on the All Objectives page

Objectives are sorted alphanumerically by default. You can sort by due date, last updated date, creation date, or progress percentage.

  1. Go to Objectives in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Set your filters at the top of the All Objectives page.
  3. Click the Sort by A-Z dropdown.
  4. Select a sort option:

- A-Z — alphanumeric order - Due date — earliest to latest - Last updated — most recently updated first - Creation date — most recently created first - Progress % — highest to lowest

  1. Confirm the list reorders to match the selected option.
Note: The sort applies only to objectives currently visible under the applied filters.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
Search returns no results Confirm the keyword matches text in an objective or key result title exactly Clear filters, then search again with a broader term
Keyword not highlighted after pressing Enter Confirm you pressed Enter after typing — results do not update on keystroke alone Click the search bar, confirm your keyword is present, and press Enter
Sort order does not change after selecting an option Confirm filters are applied — an empty filter state with no visible objectives has nothing to reorder Apply at least one filter so objectives appear, then reselect the sort option
Expected objective is missing from search results The keyword search only matches objective and key result titles, not descriptions or comments Check the objective title for the exact keyword used

Not Covered Here

This article does not cover creating or editing objectives. See Understand the All Objectives page for navigation and filter details, or How to create a collaborative objective in 15Five for setup instructions.
