This article explains how to update an objective's status from the Objectives tab. The status badge on the objective updates immediately when you save.
Before You Begin
- Objectives must be enabled for your organization. See Enable or disable Objectives.
- Once you set a status, it cannot be reverted to No progress. The change is permanent.
- To update a status as part of a Check-in, see How to track objective progress in a Check-in.
Steps
- Go to Objectives in the left-hand navigation.
- Use the filters at the top of the page to find the objective you want to update.
- Click the objective's current status badge.
- Select the updated status from the dropdown: On track, Behind, or At risk.
- To make additional updates, click the objective's name to open its details page.
- In the Update status section, select a status. Your changes save automatically.
- To leave a comment, scroll to Activity feed and type in the text field.
- Comments are visible to everyone with visibility into the objective.
- To update key results, expand the Key results section and make your changes.
