Use Kona Coach in Zoom (Manager)

Kona Coach joins your Zoom 1:1 meetings to take notes and deliver coaching feedback. After the meeting ends, you and your direct report receive a summary automatically.

Before You Begin

  • Your admin must have completed Kona setup in 15Five Settings.
  • You must have a Google Calendar account with Zoom conferencing enabled.
  • Kona access must be granted to your account.

Steps

Schedule the Meeting

  1. Open Google Calendar and create a new event at least 5–10 minutes before the meeting starts.
  2. Add your direct report as a participant.
  3. Add bot@15five.com as a participant.
  4. Click Add video conferencing and select Zoom.

During the Meeting

  1. Join the Zoom meeting at the scheduled time.
  2. Confirm Kona appears as a participant named Kona in the meeting.
  3. Allow recording permission when prompted — this occurs one time only.

Kona begins taking notes automatically. Use the following chat commands in Zoom's in-meeting chat to control Kona:

Command Action

After the Meeting

  1. Check your email and Slack (if enabled) within minutes of the meeting ending.
  2. Review your meeting summary, action items, and personalized coaching tips.

> Your direct report receives the meeting summary and action items. Coaching tips are delivered to you only.
