View Check-ins for your direct report hierarchy

Use this article to navigate your direct report hierarchy in Check-ins and open any report's submitted Check-in. When complete, you will see an expandable list of your direct reports and can open any Check-in from that view.

Before You Begin

  • You must have access to Check-ins enabled for your account. See Enable or disable Check-ins for your organization if Check-ins are not visible in your navigation.
  • This workflow is available to managers, HR admins, and top-tier leaders with hierarchy visibility.

Steps

  1. Click Check-ins in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Click the Team's tab.
  3. Review the list of your immediate direct reports for the current reporting period.

- Direct reports who manage their own teams appear with a + to the left of their name.

  1. Click + next to a person's name to expand their team.
  2. Click a person's name to open their Check-in.

If Something Goes Wrong

Team's tab is not visible Confirm your account has at least one direct report assigned to you in 15Five Ask your HR admin to verify your reporting structure in account settings
No direct reports appear in the list Confirm the current reporting period has active Check-ins Ask your HR admin to confirm Check-ins are enabled and the reporting period is active
+ icon does not appear next to a person's name That person has no direct reports assigned to them in 15Five Ask your HR admin to update the reporting structure for that person
Clicking a person's name shows no Check-in That person has not submitted a Check-in for the current period No action needed — the Check-in will appear once they submit

What Success Looks Like

After step 2, the Team's tab displays a list of your immediate direct reports. After step 4, the list expands to show all reports within that person's team. After step 5, the individual Check-in opens showing the person's submitted responses.
