Admins can assign on-demand or Microlearning courses to managers by adding a course action to an existing Action Plan. When the action's start date arrives, it appears on each assigned manager's homepage.
Before You Begin
- You must have an existing Action Plan. See Create a Manager Effectiveness Action Plan for instructions.
- Managers must have Transform Content permission to be assigned a course action. Verify this in each manager's account settings before assigning.
- Microlearning course assignment requires the Total Platform package. On-demand courses require the Copilot & Content or Group Coaching, Copilot, & Content package.
Steps
- Go to Insights Dashboard in the left-hand navigation.
- Click the Action Plans tab.
- Click the name of the Action Plan you want to add actions to.
- Click Add Actions.
- In the Add action to action plan panel, select Complete Course or Complete Microlearning as the action type.
- Select the course you want to assign.

- Enter a title for the action, or keep the default title.
- Enter an optional action description.
- Set the start date — the date the action appears on manager homepages.
- Set the due date — the date by which managers should complete the course.
- Review the automatically selected Action owners. Managers of people in the Action Plan's target group are pre-selected and marked with a star.
- To add an Action owner not pre-selected, search for and select that manager.
- To assign the action to all managers in your organization, select the All managers quick assign option. - To remove an Action owner, click the X to the right of their name.
- Click Next: Preview.
- Review the action summary to confirm all details are correct.
- Click Add actions.

What Resolution Looks Like
After clicking Add actions, the action appears on the Action Plan Overview page. On the action's start date, it appears on each assigned manager's homepage. Managers can open the course by clicking the action item.
