Growth Plan is a tab within 15Five's Career Hub where employees create career goals, break them into trackable actions, and monitor progress over time. Managers and admins can view and report on goal activity from within the same platform.
> Note: Your organization may have renamed the Best-Self Review® feature. If you don't see "Best-Self Review" in your navigation, check with your admin for the name used in your account.
Feature Structure
Growth Plan is the final tab in Career Hub. It is connected to the Role Clarity, Strengths, Vision, and Career Paths tabs — employees and managers work through those tabs before using Growth Plan to set and track career goals.
A career goal in Growth Plan consists of:
- A goal title and optional deadline
- One or more actions (measured as complete or not complete)
- Optional in-app reminder notifications
Goals created in Growth Plan appear as self-development objectives across 15Five. Self-development objectives created elsewhere also appear in Growth Plan.
How Growth Plan Connects to Other 15Five Features
Career Hub Growth Plan is part of Career Hub. It draws on context established in the Role Clarity, Strengths, Vision, and Career Paths tabs to support informed goal-setting.
Best-Self Review® Employees can view existing growth goals and create new ones directly from the Best-Self Review® Summary page.
Objectives Goals and actions created in Growth Plan appear as self-development objectives across the 15Five platform. Changes in either surface are reflected in both.
1-on-1s Employees and managers can collaborate on growth plan goals using comments and by adding goals to 1-on-1 agenda items.
Key Rules
- Career goals in Growth Plan use complete/not complete action tracking only. Self-development objectives support additional metrics (percentage, number).
- The Growth Plan tab is visible to the employee and their direct manager. Account admins cannot view individual employees' Growth Plan tabs but can download growth plan reports from the Reporting tab.
- Admins and managers can export growth plan data from the Reporting tab.
