Flag a Check-in answer to add it to your Follow-ups tab for ongoing tracking. When the flag is applied, the answer card updates immediately to display the flag indicator.
Before You Begin
- You must have permission to view the Check-in you want to flag. See Who can see my Check-ins? for details.
- Flagging is available only in the Priorities and Questions sections of a Check-in. You cannot flag answers from Objectives or High Fives sections.
Steps
- Click Check-ins in the left-hand navigation.
- Go to the Check-in containing the answer you want to flag using the tabs at the top:
- My Check-ins — your own Check-ins - Team's — your direct reports and their reporting hierarchy (visible to managers only) - Everyone's — all Check-ins you have permission to view
- Click ... to the right of the answer you want to flag.
- Select Flag for follow-up from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm the answer card now displays the flag indicator.
- (Optional) Click Comment on the flagged answer to add context.
> Note: Comments are public to anyone who can view the Check-in. To restrict visibility, check Private comment to... and select the scope from the dropdown.
The flagged answer appears in your Follow-ups tab in Check-ins. See Access and act on flagged Check-in answers for instructions on managing flagged items.
Key Rules
- You can flag answers from anyone whose Check-ins you have permission to view — including yourself, direct reports, anyone in your reporting hierarchy, and anyone you follow.
- Only answers in the Priorities and Questions sections can be flagged. Objectives and High Fives sections do not support flagging.
- The person whose answer you flag receives an in-app notification immediately after you flag it.
