[Navigation]: We have revamped the main navigation in 15Five, and added a new finder tool to be able to quickly find the page you need. Instead of having to navigate to various navigation bars to find what you need, everything is all in one left-side bar. [Kona] New Kona Coach Onboarding — We’ve launched a new, streamlined onboarding experience for Kona Coach that’s designed to be simple and seamless. After purchasing the Kona Coach, admins can go to Features → Kona Coach to set up access in just a few clicks: choose who gets access, decide whether Kona is auto-added to calls or controlled by participants, and optionally connect an admin-level calendar. Admin calendar support is now available for Kona Coach, filling a key gap and making onboarding easier for managers. HR users with Kona Coach access can now also test and experience coaching—Kona will join any HR 1:1 to provide meeting notes and coaching tips, which previously wasn’t possible to set up. [Dashboard] Managers and IC Group Filters: HR Outcomes and Engagement dashboards now include pre-built filters for Managers and Individual Contributors, making it faster to segment data by organizational role without creating custom groups.
What's new:- "By position" filter group — A new section in the Groups filter dropdown with two ready-to-use options: Managers and Individual Contributors
- Automatic classification — Managers are identified by having direct reports; all other employees are classified as Individual Contributors
- Available in HR Outcomes & Engagement — Filters can be applied across both the HR Outcomes Dashboard and Engagement Results

The new interface introduces a curated Question Bank for drag-and-drop question creation, support for up to 10 custom sections per template, flexible self-only and manager-only configurations within a single template, and streamlined list views with search, filtering, and in-flow previews. Admins can now archive unused templates, add rich text descriptions with attachments, and manage everything with fewer clicks. Released February 2nd.

[Review] Kickoff Email Setup During Cycle Creation: Kickoff email settings have moved from Advanced Settings to an auto-expanded step in the cycle creation flow, making it easier for admins to review and decide how or if the cycle is communicated. Released December 31.

Users no longer need to be billable before being added to a review cycle—invited and newly created users will automatically convert to billable status once they participate in a cycle. To prevent billing inconsistencies, billing changes are locked while a user is active in a review cycle. This update applies to all accounts and helps streamline review setup without disrupting billing accuracy. Released December 17.

Reviews now default to Hierarchy visibility, and PMA visibility for the manager hierarchy is ON by default, so managers and managers-of-managers can automatically view Reviews and PMAs for their reporting chain. This aligns with how most organizations expect review visibility to work, making first-time setup more intuitive and reducing the need for manual configuration. Existing customers aren’t affected—these defaults apply only to newly created accounts, and visibility settings can still be adjusted anytime. Released December 12.

[Action Plan] Download Action Plans: You can now download Action Plans directly from the Action Plan menu, making it easier to review, share, and store progress. The new Download option appears for Action Plans that are in progress, completed, or archived. Downloads follow existing visibility rules, and any user who can view an Action Plan can download it—no extra permissions required. The exported file includes key details like action description, type, owner, impacted person, and all relevant dates. Released December 3rd.

Notification copy across email, SMS, and Slack is fully customizable at the global or campaign level, including rich text editing for email and Slack. This gives admins more control, improves visibility, and supports higher participation. Released November 27th.

[Engage] Smarter sentiment analysis in Engage open text Feedback: Sentiment detection for open text comments in engagement campaigns just got smarter — it’s now sharper, more accurate, and context-aware. With this update, sentiment generation for all open text responses has been improved, providing more precise classifications as positive, negative, mixed, or unavailable. The analysis now takes into account both the answer text and the corresponding question response (for example, eNPS score + comment) to determine the true sentiment. This enhancement ensures stronger alignment between what’s written by employees and what’s displayed in the app, offering HR teams deeper and more reliable insights into engagement feedback. Users no longer need to be billable before being added to a review cycle—invited and newly created users will automatically convert to billable status once they participate in a cycle. To prevent billing inconsistencies, billing changes are locked while a user is active in a review cycle. Reviews now default to Hierarchy visibility, and PMA visibility for the manager hierarchy is ON by default, so managers and managers-of-managers can automatically view Reviews and PMAs for their reporting chain. This aligns with how most organizations expect review visibility to work, making first-time setup more intuitive and reducing the need for manual configuration. Salary Data from Comprehensive.io: Strategic Index and Core Attributes coverage now fully include salary data from comprehensive.io. Until now, customers bringing in salary data via comprehensive.io weren’t earning Strategic Index points for it. Not only do they get credit in the Index now, but their “salary” core attribute coverage will also improve automatically.
