Account Admin capabilities in 15Five — Feature Overview

Account admins configure and maintain the 15Five platform for their organization. This article describes what Account admins can do across company settings, people management, groups, attributes, and each major feature.

Note: Your organization may have renamed Best-Self Review® or Objectives. If you don't see these names in your navigation, check with your admin for the name used in your account.

Company Settings

Account admins control the overall 15Five configuration for their organization. This includes company name, logo, location, invite email settings, company-wide notification settings, and company values.

Account admins and Billing admins can manage billing for the organization.

Integrations

Account admins can configure integrations to manage user provisioning, single sign-on, and feature-specific data connections.

People Management

Account admins can add, deactivate, reactivate, and configure user accounts from the Manage people page. There are three methods for adding people: HRIS integration, bulk CSV import, or manual entry.

Account admins can also assign roles to users. The role assigned to a person determines what they can see and do in 15Five.

Groups and Group Types

Groups allow admins to create subsets of people organized by department, location, business unit, or other criteria. Groups are used for segmenting, filtering, and reporting across 15Five features.

A group type is a category label that organizes related groups. A group is a subset of people within a group type.

Attributes

Attributes are labels applied to employee records. Attribute visibility is controlled by confidentiality level or explicit visibility settings.

Demographic attributes (birth date, ethnicity, gender, race, salary) are a specific subset. Only HR Admins can enable, populate, and view demographic attributes.

1-on-1s

Account admins can configure feature settings, add talking points and action items for employees, and report on 1-on-1 activity. Account admins cannot see 1-on-1 agendas by default. To gain visibility into all employee 1-on-1s, an admin must be added as a Global Viewer.

Account admins can configure performance review feature settings and be appointed as a review admin. Review admin is the highest permission level for creating and managing review cycles.

Account admins can configure Career Hub settings, bulk-upload job information (titles, descriptions, responsibilities), upload role competencies, and create career paths.

Check-ins

Account admins can configure company-wide, group-level, and individual Check-in settings. This includes due days, frequency, section frequency, vacations, Check-in questions, and Question Queues. Account admins can also report on Check-in activity.

Account admins cannot view employee Check-ins by default. To gain visibility into all employee Check-ins, an admin must be added as a Global Viewer.

Engagement

Account admins can access engagement settings and manage employees, groups, and results visibility in engagement campaigns. HR Admins have the highest permission level in Engagement and can create and manage campaigns and view all results.

Key Rules

  • Account admins cannot view individual employee Check-ins or 1-on-1 agendas by default. Global Viewer access is required for both.
  • Only HR Admins can enable, populate, and view demographic attributes.
  • Review admin is a separate appointment — being an Account admin does not automatically grant review admin permissions in performance review cycles.
  • Account admins can manage billing only if they also hold the Billing admin role, or if their account grants it by default. See for details.
